Why are some people here so gullible?

Shambo gave us a load of nonsense about a news article from Sol that does not exist. It was reported that the McCanns were officially ruled out as suspects by the police early this morning... but when Shambo starts spewing libelous bile about the police finding evidence that Gerry moved Madeleine's dead body in a hire car, a fair few people believed him. WHAT IS WRONG WITH SOME PEOPLE?!?!?!
