How to temorarily "break" an itouch 50 points best answer?

ok so i have an itouch 3g, i need to make it appear broken, not phisically, but like software wise, to were it wont turn on until i do a dfu reboot. anyone have ideas? im in the process of faking a brokin ipod by submerging it in denatured alcohol, then wait till it evaporates and hopefully it works, so far nothing but im trying that with a nano. but i really need to somehow intentionally brick it. i heard theres a command in the itouch command line that does it but im not to sure. well need help asap, like as in less then an hour from now. thx
