Where many white dwarfs and planetary nebulaes evolve from?

Well, this is odd, since our universe is 14 billion years old only, and now, we have found millions of white dwarves and planetary nebulaes, I wonder which spectral star they came from? I doubt orange main sequence stars have die yet since the life expectancy is 20 billion years, have any yellow F or G stars die yet? Well do white main sequence star go to giants or supergiants? Becuase most dying stars are blue stars.
