Is there a tool for the measurement of staff morale?

As an Executive Business coach, why are you so distant from these employees? Yes you can send out a random "anonymous" survey about their job satisfaction....In the long run it is more powerful for YOUR job position to speak with these (or as many) personally. One, it will give you a more accurate essment of the truth, but you will also be able to elaborate to your boss in a way that a cold statistical paper cannot...my guess is that if morale is that low..chances are...your "bottom line" people are being under paid....and are struggling financially just to make ends meet. Are you having any problems with absenteeism and employee turnover? If you want to make a big impression with (the boss above the ding dong who gave you the ignment) do a real poll with the people. look into what those people make on average...Look into the company's budget to find mismanaged money (usually upper or mid level management bonuses) that could be pulled out of the budget to give your bottom line people a raise....it will turn them from dissatisfied employees, to PROUD career people. It will also directly effect your P & L and raise your net profit...
