Which psychology books should I read first as a beginner ?

I agree with Rachel... Abnormal Psych was interesting to me because it wasn't dry like some of the others can be. If you're looking into clinical practice, I just "Nuts and Bolts of Jungian Psychotherapy." I can't remember the author, but he was a student of Carl Jung. Excellent book, very easy to read, and helpful if you plan on opening your own practice.
