Am I the ONLY one to be concerned about charitable donations to "main charities"?

Your concerns are to me well founded.Why spend a million pounds with advertising and funding a celebrity or two to do it.The money spent on so called charities begins with the board of directors administration fee,s,better known as quango,s,followed by running costs etc.What they forgot to say was all the building work was done by director one,s company,the plans were done by director two,s company,the legal side was director three and so on.The picture is drawn.In every area was a drive for air ambulance,of course most thought it was a local thing when in fact it was another national scam.Ours raised the cash,and five expensive plans and such like down the road was eventually decided where to put it.Thats �60,000 to the planners and twice that to the designers.If i support anything its as you say,something very local that i can see whats happened.Sick of keeping rich richer while the nice gentile pensioner is conned to work for nothing The advertising using children and animals make me mad.They say there a charity and recieve no goverment help,but can afford multi million advert deals,and you can work for them for nothing.Homer Doh
