Man code violation? FWB with friends ex?

Asking for a friend since he doesn't use Yahoo: He's friends-with-benefits with a friends ex, they broke up about 3-4 years ago and both have been with other people since. Is this still in violation of man code? A simple yes or no will suffice unless more detail is necessary.
